Can I cut open an Aloe Vera plant at home and drink the gel?
Consumption of pure Aloe Vera leaf gel in unprocessed form is not recommended. It is necessary for the bark to be carefully separated from the inner Gel. A layer of aloe is attached below the skin, which is a yellow juice that should be carefully removed before consumption. The extraction of the Aloe Vera gel from the bark should be carried out under the supervision of experts.
Aloin is a laxative, which may cause diarrhea when consumed in large amounts. This is why the amount of Aloe Vera in the Aloe Vera Drinking Gels of LR is subject to regular checks.
